Our client, a niche telecommunications consulting company, hired X-Roads to develop the business plan for the formation of a Building Local Exchange Carrier and to assist in sourcing funding for the launch of their new services into five Canadian cities. We were successful in completing a winning business plan, raising $15.0m in funding and launching their new company.
Working for a provincial government department responsible for managing the funding of, and ensuring the efficient delivery of, health services to its citizens, X-Roads reviewed and assessed the effectiveness of an IT Outsourcing contract in place with a large multi-national IT services organization. Provided a full report documenting the effectiveness of the supplier relationship and provided guidance on points of negotiation for their upcoming contract renegotiation. Our report formed the basis for the following year’s successful contract renewal.
Working with a marketing communications firm X-Roads helped define their product set, target markets, and value proposition. Developed a go forward action plan that would allow them to turnaround their declining sales performance. Worked with the Management Team to redefine and focus their product offerings, refocused their efforts into three target markets and created winning value propositions for each product within each target market. Delivered a go-forward plan that was appropriate to their financial strength, capabilities and that would meet their objectives.
As CEO and CFO for a Canadian renewable energy startup we opened a Chinese subsidiary to manage an extensive supply chain in China, and we expanded sales into the United Kingdom and Italy through our UK subsidiary. We also raised over US$15m in funding, built a high-powered Executive Team and established the company as a leading renewable energy company in the United Kingdom.
